Why Run?

Even if running in its own right never becomes part of your life, it is worth the training. You’ll emerge a winner in whichever sport direction you ultimately choose, being fitter, stronger, more alert and more conditioned than you were before.

For the novice or recreational runner, it can simply be a means of keeping undesired weight off. Running can burn more than ten calories per minute, depending on aspects such as; weight, age, fitness level and running technique.

Running often expresses an individual’s desire to go beyond others’ records, limitations, and expectations. Many athletes want to prove that they can accomplish what is impossible for others.
Personally, I feel that running is in the mental and physical discipline category head and shoulders above the rest, as runners require the ability to fight till the bitter end, against all odds.
